Tais and Diego were the winners of a giveaway I hosted in June, 2022. We held their session in La Jolla on the beach and cliffside. It was a sunset session, but with how foggy the coast can get here in the mornings and evenings, we didn’t have much of a golden hour.

Regardless, they were troopers and made the most of the gloomy weather. We hiked down the cliffs to the beach to start off their session in their first outfit.

Tais had picked out a black romper for herself and Diego wore a neutral tan button up with some black pants. The neutral colors blended sooooo well with the weather, and the black totally set them apart.

This couple was so natural in front of my camera it was so hard to believe they had never done couples photos before. After, spending a little bit of time at the beach, we made our way back up the cliffside to shoot on the trails at the top of the cliffs.

Tais and Diego switched into their second outfits for the second half of the shoot at the top of the cliffs. These were a little more casual than the first outfit, but still perfect. She wore some flowy white pants with a black tank top, and Diego wore a black t-shirt with jeans.

The cliffs here have such an epic view of the Pacific Ocean, so naturally I had to get some shots of them while emphasizing the back drop.

This session was such a blast that it felt like an hour went by in 10 minutes. We parted ways at the end of the night, but I got started on their images right away. Immediately after I sent the gallery, Diego was messaging me about how much they loved the images, and Tais sent me the kindest email later that evening.

I had such an amazing time with this couple and I can’t wait to work with them again in the future!
