Get teary eyed with me over this incredibly sweet pregnancy announcement in La Jolla…

Abbie and John drove from San Clemente to meet me in La Jolla for some anniversary couples photos + their pregnancy announcement! The weather we had was a nice glimpse into what February in San Diego can look like, but I think I may have jinxed it because it’s been pouring rain here for the majority of February.

We took photos on the cliffs at the Torrey Pines Gliderport and Blacks Beach. The sunset was incredible, and there were so many paragliders out that day!

Abbie and John picked great outfits for photos by sticking to neutral and solid colors. In my opinion, that’s the best way to go for photos. It takes a lot of guessing out of styling outfits! When you stick to neutral, solid colors, you’re making sure that you’re the focus of the image (not your clothes)!

Going down to Blacks Beach

After the cliffs, we made our way down the trail to Blacks Beach. This trail is pretty steep, so if you’re wanting photos here, prepare for a little bit of a workout.

It’s not terribly strenuous or difficult, but it definitely takes the wind out of you if you’re like me & not a big hiker!

Once we got down to Blacks Beach, we brought out their ultrasound to do the actual pregnancy announcement portion of the evening. Abbie and John really wanted the beach background for these photos & their wish was my command!

We finished off the session with some fun, running and spinning photos before heading back up the trail to the parking lot!
