Sunset Cliffs is a truly incredible spot for engagement photos, especially if you’re visiting San Diego!

The cliffs are located in Point Loma, which is just a short drive from Downtown San Diego. People visit the cliffs to walk their dogs, run, and picnic with friends daily. It’s also a very popular location for proposals and small weddings/elopements!

Monique and Abraham drove down from Moreno Valley to spend the weekend in San Diego, celebrate her birthday, and have engagement photos done!

We went on a Saturday where Point Loma was having a Christmas event along their streets. So other than navigating closed roads and traffic, we had an amazing time! It was a bit overcast, but the clouds were just hazy enough for the sun to peek through and give us an incredible golden hour.

We shot for an hour until the sun went down. I believe an hour is the perfect amount of time for engagement photos. It allows you to have enough time to get comfortable, swap in a couple of outfits, and have fun with it!

If you’re visiting town, Sunset Cliffs is the perfect spot for beautiful engagement photos. It gives you the chance to sight see too! This spot is a very popular tourist location, so you’re killin two birds with one stone here.

If you’re planning on having your wedding ceremony here, you can apply for a permit on their website. You can have up to 50 guests, but make sure to have your guests arrive in a timely manner as parking can be very limited!
